Global Kids Books published their first set of books in October 2002. This publisher aims to provide readings of high quality for children. Their publications are more artistic and literary, such as Page Tsou's Tin Soldier. Page Tsou is the 2011 International Prize for Illustration Bologna Children’s Book Fair. This book is a collaboration of a Spanish writer and a Taiwanese illustrator. Together they make a surprising transformation of the tin soldier from Andersen's "The Steadfast Tin Soldier."
From 2011, they start to publish their magazine, called "Global Kids Monthly." Global Kids Monthly is a magazine for children aged 10 and up. It offers international news and works from children's writers and illustrators. From the monthly publication, the writers and illustrators may be able to elaborate their works into a more thorough piece. In this way, the creators have a place to present themselves, and the publisher has fine works to be published, thus a win-win situation.
